Adding avocados and bananas to a smoothie recipe is something I rarely ever do. I always add one or the other to a juice to turn it into a smoothie but today I wanted something more filling and nutrient rich. I have for a few years now used Groovy Food’s Agave Nectar and this morning my nosiness led me to their website to see what other products they had. I came across a recipe and decided to adapt it to my liking.
My love for avocados and their wonderful benefits to the body is no secret to anyone. Though high In good fats, they are high in fibre and have a lower amount of carbohydrates which can assist weight loss.
Bananas are my go-to fruit because I’m lazy and they’re not so messy to eat and require no utensils for peeling. Barring that, not only are they high in potassium, they have high levels of serotonin and in my world, there can never be a shortage of this happy hormone.
Ingredients
2 bananas
2 avocados
3 tbsp Light Agave Nectar
1 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
600ml chilled Good Hemp Milk

Instructions
Remove the seed for the avocados and scoop the flesh into a blender. Add in sliced bananas and the rest of the ingredients and blitz. Add some ice if you like your smoothies cold. Voilà!
I had this smoothie for breakfast and lunch as I made about 4 glasses worth. The hemp milk is full of omegas and is specifically good if you have Calcium or Vitamin D deficiencies like me.
I hope you enjoy this rich and nutrient-packed smoothie.
Enjoy!
