Yesterday was one of those days when I wasn’t being lazy with my food because it was a Sunday but because I felt totally full and bloated for no reason at all. Damn you IBS😒! This is the life of a spoonie. Anyway, I thought I needed some sustenance and decided to make a smoothie.
Strawberries are known for helping the digestive system and have antioxidants that can help with inflammation. They also contain Vitamins C, K, manganese and lots of fibre. I figured those would help with the discomfort I was feeling.
It was one of my ‘I’ll make it up as I go along’ recipes and it tasted divine.
Ingredients
7-10 strawberries
1 carrot
1/2 yellow bell pepper
250 ml orange juice
100 ml almond milk
2.5tbsp Fibre-3 (Now Foods)
Instructions
Pop everything in a blender and blitz. That’s as simple as it is. As everything was stored in the fridge, it was pretty cold. You can pour it over ice if you want it colder.
Happy Monday my lovelies.
